While Hamill Creek Timberwrights’ work speaks most eloquently for itself, I thought I’d add few words of praise as well.  Hamill Creek designed and built a gorgeous home for us in Rossland, B.C.  Dwight and his entire organization were a pleasure to work with, from start to finish.  They were extremely knowledgeable professional and delightful.  From our initial meeting with Dwight, through the entire design process with the very talented (designers), to the actual house-raising process with the whole gang of craftsmen and throughout all of the finishing details, Dwight and his crew were superb.

Dwight always delivered on his promises to us.  He did everything he said he would do and more – on time and on budget!  His service and craftsmanship far exceeded our expectations.  After Hamill Creek set the standard of quality workmanship so high, all the other trades people who worked on our home also did fantastic work.  The house is truly a work of art.

As I imagine, most people who set out to build a fine quality home to be, we were demanding clients.  If we ever drove them to the brink of distraction, we never knew it.  Dwight and (our designer) were unfailingly patient, polite and prompt in all their dealings with our endless questions and requests.

If you are reading this rave review, I can only hope that you are serious about engaging the services of Hamill Creek Timberwrights, believe me,  it will be the best decision you could possibly make to facilitate turning your dreams into the home of your dreams.

Dear Dwight,

As we wind down our construction (of our home), I want to express my appreciation to you and your crew at Hamill Creek for the contribution you have made to the creation of what has been built on the Island.

It has been a long effort, eleven years, to bring about a dream that (my wife and I) share for our family.  It has involved many individuals, some of whom, like you, have been with us for most of the journey.  I have many vivid memories of each of the projects in which you and your crew were involved, beginning with the boat house, which you took on at short notice, and after the first day of the raising I was convinced that my dream of timber frame structures for our home was well founded.

The barn is the most incredible structure.  Every time I walk through it, I marvel at the intricacies of the timberwork.  Recently, on some of my solo trips to the island, I have been staying in one of the barn apartments rather than ‘firing up’ the big house.  I had never spent a night in the barn until then and notwithstanding its size, it has a very intimate feeling.  I look forward to the day when we will have horses back on the property so I can experience spending the night there with them shuffling around below.

As we wind down construction on the main house, I still find myself in awe of what has been created.  One of my dreams for the property was to use native materials so the house would seem to be a transformation of those materials into a structure – this has been accomplished beyond my wildest expectations and I owe you and your crew much appreciation for helping bring it about.

As the boys grow up and I get older, I am looking forward to being able to spend more time on (the island), enjoying its natural beauty, which I feel has only been enhanced by your contributions.

It has been a pleasure working with you and I hope that in the future there will be other projects that we can work on together.
