Hamill Creek Timberwrights has built over 100 custom timber frame projects in the last 12 years. President and founder, Dwight Smith, oversees every aspect of construction from concept and design through to raising, enclosing and finishing.
Located deep in the beautiful Kootenay region of Southeastern British Columbia, Canada, Hamill Creek Timberwrights has access to some of the finest quality timber resources in the world. Douglas fir, larch, pine, spruce and cedar are all used in our timber frames. These species all offer strong structural qualities and timeless beauty. The timber are cut at our own sawmill, ensuring control of quality right from the beginning of the manufacturing process. The timbers are then crafted by our skilled timber wrights, using traditional joinery methods.
Hamill Creek Timberwrights has a team of experienced designers to provide complete design and architectural services. Our designers work closely with each of our clients to design a home which is a reflection of that clients individual personality and life style. Our designers also have extensive experience working with other Architects through out North America.
Finishing details can make a timber frame home that much more personal and special. Hamill Creek Timberwrights staff includes highly skilled cabinet makers and finish carpenters. They specialize in creating spectacular stair cases, hand rails and custom doors to match the wood used in the timber frame. To further compliment our timber frames we also offer siding, flooring, and interior and exterior trim packages.
